Jussi's explanation of the solo, from the "Island of Disco Ensemble" guitar tab book: "Use a delay pedal. Played with dotted 8th note delay (one repeat 3/4 of a beat after the note is played). Also, volume knob of the neck pickup should be down to zero. Flicker the pickup switch in tempo (1/16-notes), so you'll get a short silent break in between every note. Every note is a hammer-on." For the riff Jussi uses a Line6 M13 pedal, the effect is called Synth-O-Matic.
